I mean lets face it, Outbreak are a formidable fighting force, what you lack in numbers you more than make up for in a concentration of talent that surpasses any entity in EVE. Is it possible that given the current political climate, it is actually impossible for Outbreak to do anything that isn't going to have some political effect?
One of the reasons why Backdoor Bandit's shenanigans and the rest of the rumours surrounding Outbreak have captured readers attention is because of the very large interest in what you are up to at this present time. If I was a cynic I would say that BB has capitalised on this interest to have a laugh at the EVE reader's expense.
Outbreak are one of the last entities of any significance to have not sided in this conflict one way or the other.
I would go on to suggest that the efforts that Outbreak will go to, in order to remain politically inert may prove more troublesome and stressful than any direct political involvement.
